People on the Move: Long Island promotions, new jobs

Edwin Maldonado, of Seaford, an associate at Rivkin Radler in Uniondale, has been elected treasurer of the executive board of the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association in Garden City.

Matthew Wells, of Mount Sinai, has been hired as executive director of human resources for the Babylon Union Free School District. Wells was the director of personnel for the Three Village Central School District.

Suzanne Farrell, of Garden City, has been hired as senior director of grants and evaluation at Kinexion Network in Manorville. Farrell was director of grants and evaluation at New York Cares in Manhattan.

Thomas Telfer, of Ronkonkoma, has been hired as a construction maintenance supervisor at the Suffolk County Water Authority in Oakdale. Telfer was a foreman at Sav Mor Mechanical Inc. in Ronkonkoma.

Allyson Saccomandi, of Center Moriches, has been hired as executive director, people and organizational effectiveness at Kinexion Network in Manorville. Saccomandi was vice president of human resources at Temple University Health System in Philadelphia.

Dr. Scott Weiner, of Dix Hills, has been hired as an orthopedic surgeon at Mirza Orthopedics in Smithtown and Bellmore. Weiner was an orthopedic surgeon at Summit Health in Garden City.

Richie Perna, of Rosyln, has been hired as chief revenue officer at XSponse, headquarters in Miami, working out of Massapequa office. Perna was chief strategy officer at Day Automation/StarkTech in Buffalo.

Richard Root, of Syosset, director at EisnerAmper in Melville, has been promoted to partner.

Matthew J. Curry, of Melville, founder and president of Curry Financial Group Inc. in Huntington Village, has been appointed to the board of directors of Gurwin Jewish Nursing  & Rehabilitation Center in Commack.

Aldo Spano, of Mamaroneck, New York, has been hired as director of recreation and head sprint football coach at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury. Spano was an associate head coach at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn.

Adon M. Austin, of Massapequa, has been hired as a senior associate at Nelson + Pope in Melville. Austin was a waterfront practice leader at GEI Consultants in Huntington Station. 

Jennifer Capella-Brown, of Commack, has been hired as major and planned gifts manager at Long Island Cares in Hauppauge. Brown was development manager at Girls Inc. of Long Island in Deer Park.

Steven Isaacs, of Commack, founder and chief executive at Advanced Digital Diagnostics in Commack, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Gurwin’s Fountaingate Gardens in Commack.

Lauren D’Annunzio, of Port Washington, the chairperson for home instruction and secondary guidance at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School and Copiague Middle School in Copiague, has been promoted to coordinator of secondary guidance and work-based learning for the Copiague School District.

Anatoly Frenkel, of Great Neck, deputy chair of the department of materials science and chemical engineering at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, has been promoted to chair of the department.

Darwin Yohannan, of Jericho, has been hired as director of quality and corporate compliance at Gurwin Healthcare System in Commack. Yohannan was an administrator at The Silvercrest Center in Briarwood, New York.

Shauna Lent, of Patchogue, has been hired as fleet coordinator at Suffolk County Water Authority in Oakdale. Lent was revenue manager at Clare Rose, Inc. in Yaphank. 

Melissa Negrin-Wiener, of East Setauket, senior partner at Cona Elder Law in Melville, has been promoted to managing partner. 

Michael Alliksen, of Wantagh, has been hired as senior vice president, business development, insurance and risk management at McBride Consulting and Business Development Group in Babylon. Alliksen was vice president at Corporate Synergies in Melville.

John Russo, of St. James, has been hired as chief financial officer at Corel Corporation, headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, works remotely from home. Russo was chief financial officer at West Technology Group in Islandia.

Sal Ferro, of Commack, has been hired as vice president, state and local government practice at McBride Consulting and Business Development Group in Babylon. Ferro was former town councilman for the Town of Huntington.

Brian Karp, of Ronkonkoma, vice president of special projects at SUNation Energy in Ronkonkoma, has been promoted to general manager, New York operations. 

Sal Piccione, of Medford, has been hired as DME (Durable Medical Equipment) coordinator at Orthopedic Associates of Long Island in East Setauket. Piccione was a certified practitioner and manager at All Pro Medical Supples, Inc. in Medford. 

Maxwell Velikodny, of Staten Island, has been hired as an associate attorney at Capetola & Divins in Williston Park. Velikodny was a senior examiner at FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in Manhattan. 

Michelle Mayrose, of Islip, has been hired as assistant principal at Hampton Bays Middle School in Hampton Bays. Mayrose was assistant director of pupil personnel and special education in the Comsewogue School District.

Dr. Laurence Spier, of Roslyn, has been hired as system vice chair of thoracic surgery and director of robotic thoracic surgery at Catholic Health in Rockville Centre. Spier was chief of thoracic surgery at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola.

Dr. Joseph Greco, of Garden City, executive vice president and chief of hospital operations at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island in Mineola, has been appointed chair of the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council in Hauppauge. 

Clay Snider, of Oceanside, has been hired as an associate at Futterman Lanza in Melville. Snider was an associate at Sammartino & Sultan Law Group in Lindenhurst and Wantagh offices.

Joseph Braico, of Plainview, has been hired as athletic director for Baldwin Union Free School District in Baldwin. Braico was athletic director for Plainview-Old Bethpage School District.

Tara Cocheo, of Astoria, Queens, has been hired as fine and performing arts director for Baldwin Union Free School District. Cocheo was lead teacher for the Farmingdale School District’s music department.  

Christopher Spinosa, of West Islip, has been hired as an associate at Rivkin Radler in Uniondale. Spinosa was a court attorney at the New York State Court of Appeals in Albany.

Lauren Moskowitz, of Roslyn, has been hired as an associate at Rivkin Radler in Uniondale. Moskowitz was an associate at Lawrence & Walsh in Hempstead.

Chris Milano, of Massapequa, has been hired as the director of facilities in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District. Milano was the director of facilities at Variety Child Learning Center in Syosset.

Carli Adler, of Salisbury, has been hired as the assistant director of pupil personnel services for grades 5-8 in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District. Adler was the intervention/IEP teacher and special education teacher at P.S. 173 in Fresh Meadows, Queens.

Andrea Judge, of St. James, has been hired director of school counseling, K-12 in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District. Judge was coordinator of guidance for the Lindenhurst Union Free School District. 

Alison Incarnato, of Bethpage, a physical and health education and adaptive physical education teacher at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School in Plainview, has been promoted to chairperson of physical education, health, and SEL, K-8 in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District.
