Southold paid 384 employees $24.9 million in 2024, a 5.3% increase from 2023, when payroll totaled $23.6 million, according to data Newsday obtained and analyzed through the state's Freedom of Information Law. Newsday publishes municipal department names and titles the way the town or city provided them.
