The Half Hollow Hills Central School District has switched to remote classes after the district was left without water Wednesday.
The virtual instruction will operate districtwide on a two-hour delay, the district reported on its website.
Earlier, the district said the Dix Hills Water District was "experiencing an issue affecting water service from their wells," and that buildings were without water service."
