Linda D'Andrade, 79, seriously injured in fire in her Huntington Station home, police say

A Huntington Station woman was seriously injured during a Wednesday afternoon fire at her Prospect Drive North home, Suffolk police said.
Volunteers with the Huntington Manor Fire Department entered the home and rescued Linda D’Andrade, 79, from the blaze, which was reported about 3 p.m. the Suffolk County Police Department said in a news release. She was transported to Huntington Hospital "for treatment of serious physical injuries," police said.
Suffolk County Police Arson Unit detectives are investigating the fire, the cause of which is currently considered not criminal in nature, the release said. No other injuries were reported.
Detectives ask anyone with information regarding the fire to call the Arson Unit at 631-852-6024.
