Two motorcyclists were killed in separate crashes in Centereach and Shoreham early Saturday, Suffolk police said.

Herson Almonte, of Port Washington, was operating a 2026 Kawasaki eastbound on Nesconset Highway, east of Nicolls Road, when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a center divider around 12:30 a.m., Suffolk County police said in a news release.

Almonte, 42, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

In the Shoreham crash, Daniel Austin was riding a 2024 Honda south on William Floyd Parkway when he lost control and was ejected from his motorcycle around 1:05 a.m.

Austin, 23, of Mastic Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both motorcycles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crashes to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or Seventh Squad detectives at 631-852-8752.
