He got his start at The Chicago Tribune's D.C. bureau before freelancing in New York City and then joining Newsday's staff in 2007. He's been a guest on CNN, NY1, Fox News and the BBC, among other outlets. He has lectured on journalism at Columbia, New York University and CUNY, and served as a contest judge for the Deadline Club and Society of Professional Journalists.
