Long Island's Stick Stars: The top high school boys and girls lacrosse performers this week

BOYS LACROSSE
AIDAN BUTT, Wheatley/Carle Place
Butt continued a monstrous spring season with eight goals and an assist against Mineola. He had three goals and two assists against New Hyde Park and holds 74 points with one game to go.
BRAEDEN KEHOE, Mepham
A perfect 21-for-21 at the faceoff X, plus two assists, highlighted Kehoe’s big day against Island Trees.
RYDER MAAG, Northport
Northport and Hills met in a rematch of last year's Suffolk Class A final. Maag may not have played in that game, but he starred in the sequel with four goals and two assists.
TOMMY MASSARO, Mount Sinai
It came in a loss to Shoreham-Wading River, but Massaro starred regardless, winning 31 of 32 faceoffs and contributing five goals and one assist.
JOHN HAWTHORNE, South Side
He combined for eight goals and four assists in wins over Calhoun and Plainedge.
ERIC NARONIS, Floral Park
Naronis’ six goals against Malverne/East Rockaway tied his season high.
JACK RELLA, Ward Melville
Ward Melville’s 10-9 win over Sachem North was one of the highlights of the week, made possible by Rella’s game-high four points.
MASON SCHUTTER, Sachem East
Schutter followed up an 11-save game against Bay Shore with a tremendous 29-save performance in an impressive 15-12 win over Lindenhurst.
GIRLS LACROSSE
SYDNEY ABBOTT, Oceanside
A returning Stick Star, Abbott combined for 16 goals and an assist in a loss to MacArthur and a win over Roslyn.
EVE LARKIN, MacArthur
Not only did Larkin record three consecutive goals to erase a two-goal deficit, but she scored all within the final 1:27 of a 14-13 win over Oceanside. She finished with eight goals and an assist.
JENNA LINEMAN, Connetquot
Lineman’s fourth goal with 5:22 remaining gave Connetquot its final lead in a 10-9 win over Patchogue-Medford. She also had two assists.
JENNA OBLOJ, West Islip
She led her team in points, combining for seven goals and eight assists, in wins against Comsewogue, Bayport-Blue Point and Mount Sinai.
CAROLINE O’CONNELL, Bethpage
O’Connell needed just two games to record six goals and 17 assists in wins over Carle Place and MacArthur. She now has 100 points this season.
SOPHIA PALMERI, Calhoun
She scored the go-ahead goal with 30 seconds left for Calhoun in a 9-8 win over Friends Academy, finishing with four goals.

ELIZABETH POIROT, West Hempstead
West Hempstead’s all-time point leader who has 136 points this spring, Poirot surpassed 400 career points after a week where she combined for 23 goals and eight assists against Jericho, Freeport and Valley Stream District.
MARGO ROSH, Oyster Bay
For the second time in program history, Oyster Bay completed an undefeated season in conference play, its first in Conference III. Rosh helped make that official with five goals against Carey.
